Measurements of ring sizes can be done with the use of a metal, paper or plastic ring sizer (as an indicator) or by measuring the inner diameter.

Ring sticks are devices to measure the inner dimensions of rings. They can be constructed out of wood, plastic, aluminum, or any of the other materials. For exact measurements, digital ringsticks can be employed.
